Dragon! =D

Ain't he so cute? =3

This is my dragon for the random concept thing we did in class. Ignore the fail!background, I'll fix it later. His head is like a chameleon's and I used a picture of a lizard for the rest of the body.

Once more, this was done in Sai.

Dragon/Smaug thing

Here's my dragon/Smaug painting that we did in class. I'm not good at dragons so I used a snake as a reference.

Chrono Port

This "vehicle" isn't quite a vehicle.  It's more of a structure however it does transport units through space and time, anywhere, instantly... Sort of.

My friend and I came up with an idea for something like this which stemmed from a discussion about Starcraft.  We were complaining about the Terran barracks which would "train" marines right then and there while the war is in their back yard.  This seems silly so we came up with some sort of device which "teleported" units onto the battlefield but one of the side-effects for no real reason (currently) is that the other end of the Chrono Port is actually in the future.

With an RTS mindset, this could work.  It's similar to the Protoss converted Gateway which can teleport any unit within a Pylon's radius, except it would take time.  I justify it with the beginning scene in Back to the Future where Doc sends the Delorean one minute into the future, wherein the car vanishes only to magically reappear after waiting for one minute.

Basically the other end of the device would be deployed from space or otherwise then the units would pile into the Chrono Port.  It's still a concept in progress as to how the devices would actually work with the whole space-time divide combined with the real-time deployment of the receiving end.

I used Maya to get the basic shape down.  It's a metallic structure so there's not a lot of color to add.  Now that I think of it, I probably could have added some tracks or marks or something. haha

Three guns

here are three guns that go with my character. The pistol is a custom M1911 colt. The second one is a smg that can be reconfigured with a silencer, barrel extension, or a longer stock. It has a top loading magazine like the P90. The rifle uses magnetic acceleration to fire a case-less round, it has an under-barrel grenade launcher that uses the metal storm electronic ignition system.

Transportation Assignment

This is my submission for the "Transportation" assignment. It's name is "The Cradle" and it was unearthed in an archealogical dig in the 1920s. Sentient, it has moved twice in it's known existance, once to avoid a german artillery bombardment, and the second for seemingly no reason at all when it violently burst from the British history museum only to stop in the middle of the street. The true wonder about this creature is the portal that rests in it's stomach. Only one man has passed through, the person who discovered the very beast buried in the congo all those years ago, General Blast Shedsworth. He has never been heard from since.

Project 2

I decided to go for a more sci-fi enviroment.

I started out in with a 3ds max environment and rendered it out with ambient occlusion to get some nice shadows. I Then took it into photoshop and made some cooler looking colors and "materials" for the walls and everything. Took me longer than I would ever want to admit but i like how it turned out.

Project 2 - Environs

Here's the environment I came up for my insect creature.  The creatures have very rocky-looking exoskeletons which gave me the idea of having them dwell underground.  I figured they would live in self-made pods and continue burrowing tunnel networks throughout the caverns.  Near the end of design, I added an unsuspecting explorer given pause by his discovery.

If this is too dark to view, I can upload a brighter version.

What I did today. Wanted to give him an old look, so that's what I went with.

Not much to say this time, sorry.
